WHO AM I? 我是谁?
Hi, I'm Cheng Ruizhe, or you can call me Leo. I majored in Product Design at ArtCenter College of Design, focusing on integrating brand strategy and market insights into product development. My expertise spans new energy vehicles, consumer electronics, and sustainable design.
I specialize in designing innovative products that balance strategic branding with real-world market needs, ensuring both product success and user satisfaction. My vision is to create designs that not only promote sustainability but also resonate with consumers, making cutting-edge technologies more accessible and impactful.
EWitnessing the Bauhaus firsthand solidified my belief that standing out requires differentiation. Embracing brand strategy design has shown me that the products I create should strive for longevity and timeless relevance, rather than mere fleeting appeal.
WHAT DID I LEARN
In my first two years, I focused on mastering industrial design fundamentals and a structured design process. By my third year, I began exploring how design impacts markets, connects emotionally with users, and supports sustainable development, shaping my approach to thoughtful and impactful solutions.
In the Real Industry (Intern)
During my time as an industrial designer at Munchkin and Siemens, I gained valuable insights into designing user-focused products and balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal. I also developed a deeper understanding of how to address market needs through innovative and practical solutions.
At Samsung Electronics, working in the design research department taught me the importance of thorough market analysis and trend forecasting. I learned how to translate consumer insights into actionable design strategies, ensuring that products resonate with target audiences while staying ahead of industry trends.
